Jocelyn Hessel, DVM

Dr. Hessel was raised in Ft. Lauderdale and attended college at University of Florida, continuing on to veterinary school at Louisiana State University. Dr. Hessel graduated in 2007 and moved to East Texas, beginning her career at Quitman Animal Clinic as mixed animal veterinarian. She has a special interest in small animals and small ruminants. Dr. Hessel enjoys general surgery as well as acute trauma and physical rehabilitation.

Dr. Hessel has three pets: Lagniappe, an older mixed breed dog; Tuck, a Golden Retriever puppy; and a cat named Minneaux. Dr. Hessel enjoys traveling, dancing, reading, spending time with friends and is very active with her church, First United Methodist Quitman.
