Veterinary Students Learn with Us
One of our excellent veterinary externs.
Students need teachers and at QAC we welcome the opportunity to mentor the best veterinary students from across the nation. Our Externship/Preceptorship Program allows us to work with the Academy of Rural Veterinarians and the Louisiana Board of Veterinary Medicine to provide a hands-on learning experience for veterinarians in-the-making, bringing them out of the classroom and into the world of medical practice.

I completed a four week externship at Quitman Animal Clinic during the spring of my senior year. Of all the places I visited, this provided the best variety of both large and small animal medicine and surgery. The doctors and staff provide a comfort level while pushing you to be independent in your case work-ups. They also stress business management as well as time management. By far the best hospital I interned at!
